Benefits

(+) Provide habitat for urban animals such as birds and insect
(+) Reduce urban runoff and heat islands

Limitations

(-) Some tree species can have negative effect on human health (allergies, BVOC emissions in warmer months.)
(-) Some trees grow extensive root networks that can harm urban infrastructure
